Experience
I'm a tutor who is based out of New York City, where I enjoy studying Italian, playing sports, and watching movies when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I have a wealth of experience working as a teacher and tutor. Currently, I'm a certified teacher in the state of New York for elementary school. I have spent time interning with students in high school, have taught as a homeschool educator, and have assisted at several local schools as part of my graduate school fieldwork. I also currently work at a tutoring center where I help students from pre-K to middle school with their English and math classes. As a tutor, I strive to keep my lessons fun and engaging for all students. I do this by getting to know my students and then developing individualized lesson plans to help those students overcome their biggest problem areas. I love the feeling I get when a student of mine finally reaches a breakthrough moment in a subject they've been struggling with for awhile. I believe that every student can master any subject they put their mind to. As a tutor, I see it as my role to be that guiding presence to help my students unlock their full academic potential.
