I have been a private tutor and SAT class instructor in Westchester and Fairfield Counties for the last eight years. I have helped several students achieve perfect 800 scores on the SAT exams as well as a number of students scores above 750 on the SAT Biology, Chemistry and Math tests. I have also worked with many other students for the AP exams in Biology, Chemistry and Calculus, who have also achieved scores of 4 and 5. My goal with students is to break down difficult material into tractable concepts. The best strategy I have found is to have students practice from questions, which are more difficult than the exam questions. After practicing with difficult problems I find students approach their exams with a greater conceptual understanding of the material and more confidence. My work with students also includes work as an academic tutor for students in high school and college biology, chemistry and math courses. My personal scores include: 780 (out of 800) on the SAT II Biology exam and a 5 (out of 5) on the AP Biology exam. References and proof of academic background are available on request.
